The first number on your scanner is your position from the vertical center of the planet. -90 is all the way West and +90 is all the way East. The second number on your scanner is your position from the horizontal center of the planet. The North Pole is at +90 and the South Pole is at -90.

Numbers from +90 to +180 represent the North half of the backside of the planet, and numbers from -90 to -180 represent the South half of the back of the planet.

The image above is a map I developed that you can use to plot your position and any other important position on the planet’s surface for your reference and/or to share with others.
