The first number on your scanner is your latitude or your position from the horizontal center of the planet (the equator). The North Pole is at +90 and the South Pole is at -90. The Second number on your scanner is longitude or your position from the vertical center of the planet (the prime meridian). 0 to +180 is the eastern hemisphere and 0 to -180 is the western hemisphere of the planet.
